YLP with Azerbaijan Participants in Ganja, Azerbaijan Kick Off Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) with the Lofty Tree Project

YLP with Azerbaijan participants help the
children create hats for the play 

On April 18, the finalists of YLP with Azerbaijan organized an environmental awareness program for the children in their community.   The Lofty Tree project teaches elementary school aged children about the need to protect the environment, the trees, and the flowers. 

The children created hats and other props for the Lofty Tree play, where they would be the actors and the stars!  The YLP with Azerbaijan participants helped the children with their designs and explained their roles in the play.

As a follow up to the play, all of the children will join the YLP with Azerbaijan participants in a tree and flower planting event on Saturday, April 21 for GYSD.  This hands on-event will help the children cement the lessons that they learned through the play.
